Jet Airways has announced the launch of a new feature 'Online Name Correction' for all flight tickets booked on its website or mobile site. With this new feature in place, customers will now be able to correct the spelling of their names, change their last names (due to marriage) or correct the name to match the name given as per their valid ID documentation.

Guests can correct their names on ticketed bookings on Jet Airways Website and Mobile site by paying a Name Correction fee.

Name Correction Fee:

  • Domestic India Journey – INR 1250 per ticket
  • International Journey – INR 5500 per ticket

According to Jet Airways, "Name correction may be necessary for various reasons. For example, a guest provides incorrect name information as per their documentation, a marriage and a name change has occurred, or the spelling of their name was misunderstood by the booking agent."

Name Correction is strictly permitted for reasons mentioned below.

  • Online Name Corrections can be done any time 72 hours prior to commencement of the journey.
  • Available on Website & Mobile site. This feature can be located in the main menu 'Plan your Travel' and sub menu 'Flights'.

  • Online Name Correction facility is applicable on itineraries having only Jet Airways operated flights. Not permitted for codeshare / interline lights (except 9W*/S2 flights).
  • Online Name Correction is applicable for guests holding a valid e-ticket having ticket number commencing with 589 series.
  • The request must be for the same guest on the ticket.
  • Applicable on bookings having less than or equal to 9 guests in the PNR.
  • The facility is not permitted for tickets issued / reissued for Jet Privilege Award (redemption) bookings.

Note: Name Correction is not applicable for name changes that is replacing one name for another is not permitted.

Jet Airways and ICICI Bank have announced the launch of the country's first contact-less business credit card for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their employees. Christened ‘Jet Airways ICICI Bank Business Advantage Card', this co-branded credit card was lunched with a collaboration between Jet Airways and ICICI bank.

According to a press release on the Jet Airways website, the "co-branded credit card helps customers to save on their business expenses. It also provides customers opportunities to earn JPMiles on both spends as well as repayments on a list of business expense categories including travel, dining, office stationary, online advertising and vendor payments among others."

The JPMiles earned will be allocated to both the SME and the cardholder(s) in the ratios of 75:25, 50:50 & 25:75 (Miles Split Ratio Module (MSRM)). While, the JPMiles earned by the company are transferred to its ‘Business Rewards+' account of Jet Airways, the points of the cardholder are transferred to his / her individual JetPrivilege account.

ICICI Bank is the first bank globally to offer a dual advantage reward programme on the spends and repayments of the credit card. This card is powered by the ‘VISA payWave' contactless technology that enables the cardholder to make payments by simply tapping the card at contactless enabled terminals in more than 48 countries including India. The card can also be used by dipping or swiping at non-contactless merchants.

Additionally, the card offers a complimentary access to a unique expense management tool, ‘Visa IntelliLink for Small Businesses' (VISB) giving entrepreneurs a new level of insight and control over their spends.

Jet Airways has announced its plans to upgrade the passenger capacity on its daily Mumbai to Singapore flights. The airline will deploy its state-of-the-art Airbus A330-200 aircraft to increase the passenger capacity by up to 50 per cent per trip with effect from June 1, 2016.

On-board the A330-200, guests can enjoy enhanced cabin comfort with a customised two-cabin seating configuration of 18 seats in Première and 236 in Economy and a wide choice of on-demand video and audio entertainment options for every seat.

New Flight Launches

Jet Airways has announced its plans to launch additional flight services on the Mumbai to Dammam and Delhi to Dammam sectors in an effort to further boost its operations to the key Saudi Arabian port city. The additional service will operate daily and will come into effect from July 1st, 2016, subject to regulatory clearances.

Jet Airways currently operates flights from 12 cities across India to 10 in the Gulf. The launch of additional daily services strengthens Jet Airways' already extensive network of routes serving the region and cements its place as the largest operator connecting India and the Gulf.

Air India has announced a codeshare growth with Flybe, a leading regional airline in Europe, to allow its passengers seamless connections from Delhi to Belfast City, Edinburgh and Glasgow in UK. The connections come into effect from June 1, 2016.

Seats will be available for booking via the Air India website at or through Jetways Travels with immediate effect. Passengers who are members of Air India’s Frequent Flier Programme will accrue mileage points for journeys taken on flights carrying the AI flight number.

Saad Hammad, Flybe’s CEO comments: "Our new codeshare agreement with Air India is another exciting development for Flybe and tangible evidence of our continued growth. It further strengthens our commitment to connecting our regional customers with our ‘One Stop to the World’ proposition.

"We can now give customers in the UK regions convenient access to the Indian subcontinent through Birmingham Airport. This relieves them of the need to undertake long road or rail journeys to and from the UK's congested south east hub airports. It will also serve in contributing further to local economies by encouraging inbound travel from South East Asia.”
